As a child, I remember playing teacher at home.  A chalkboard was nailed on the wall and my stuffed animals were the students.  In 2004, this play time became a reality that I had only dreamed of.  I had my first classroom of students in Livermore.  After teaching 3rd and 4th grade for 11 years in the East Bay, I decided it was time for a change.  In 2016, I joined LASD as a 5th grade teacher.  I was immediately drawn to the close knit community and the drive to ignite passion into student learning. I continue to have a love for teaching students and look forward to learning from them every day.  Outside of the classroom, I consider myself a foodie and like trying out new foods and restaurants.  I also enjoy cooking, hiking, and visiting South Lake Tahoe.  My husband, son, and I are big sports fans.  We love attending and watching all professional bay area sports.
