Ever since I can remember, I’ve always wanted to be a teacher. Playing school when I was little and reading to my stuffed animals just like a teacher would set the stage for my passion for teaching. I believe that as a teacher, I am here to guide my students to learn, understand, and be anything they want to be. This is my 16th year here in Los Altos School District and at Almond School. I taught 3rd grade for four years and this will be my 12th year teaching 2nd grade. I have also taught preschool, a 9th grade summer math course, and summer school for Los Altos Kids Adventures and Los Altos School District. My educational career started at UC Santa Barbara, where I received a B.A. in Psychology and Communications. I also hold an M.Ed. from San Jose State University. I live in San Jose with my husband Colin, 6-year-old daughter Declan (who will be in 1st grade at Almond!), and 2-year-old son Keegan.  In my free time, I love to spend time with family and friends, Zumba, watch movies, and dine at new and favorite restaurants.
