I am Mrs. O’Dell, one of the kindergarten teachers at Almond Elementary. This is my fifth year teaching at Almond, but my tenth year teaching kindergarten. I have also taught third grade and worked as a librarian. I grew up on the East Coast where I received my degree in Elementary Education from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I received my Masters of Arts in Interdisciplinary Education with a Reading Emphasis and a Reading Language Arts Specialist Credential from Santa Clara University. Besides teaching, I enjoy cooking, scrapbooking, reading, running, and spending time with my family. My goal for my students is to learn and grow academically, emotionally and socially. I strive to create a learning community where children are passionate about learning and are eager to come to school every day. I am excited to be part of your child’s educational journal.
