I am Miss McSweeney and I am over the moon to be a part of the Almond “Ohana!” I have taught both kindergarten and 1st grade. I grew up in Dallas, Texas and received my degree in Elementary Education from The University of Oklahoma. I have been living in California for two years now and absolutely love it! When taking a break from room 4 I enjoy visiting my family, trying new restaurants, visiting the beach, decorating, and listening to live music. My dream of becoming a teacher began in kindergarten. It is such an honor to not only live that dream, but to also teach in the grade in which that dream was formed. It is my goal that each child that enters my room knows he/she is valued and loves coming to school every day. I hope to instill in your child a life-long love for learning, and teach them the social skills necessary to make lasting friendships. Teaching kindergarten has captured my heart and I am looking forward to getting to know each of my students and their families!
