About the Almond Walkathon - October 21, 2023 9am-1pm

Our annual Walkathon will be held on Saturday, October 21st. This is an important and fun Almond community-building event and the biggest fundraiser for the school year. We invite Almond students, families, neighbors and friends to walk, run, jump or skip around a course set up on the Almond blacktop. We will have music, food, games and a silent auction.

This year we will use Classroom parent for announcements, volunteer sign ups, and t-shirt orders, so please create an account if you already haven't. Sign up here.

Key things to note:

• Order t-shirts: You can order custom themed Walkathon t-shirts for the full family here. You can order t-shirts until September 26th.

• Donate to the Walkathon: Since this is a fundraising event with proceeds going directly to our school, a donation of $75 for each child is requested, but any amount is appreciated. You may select from our pre-set amounts of $30, $50 or $100, or mix-and-match to customize your donation amount. All proceeds from this event go to funding our excellent PTA sponsored programs like Character Strong, K-3 Starting Arts, upper grade activities fund and important supplies like technology, books and events which enhance and enrich the instruction our students receive. You can make your donation choice at ClassroomParent or Paypal or by check payable to: Almond PTA (drop off in front office). Donations will be open until October 22nd.

• Contribute to the Silent Auction: We are asking for parents' contributions to our silent auction. These include hosting grade level parties or an adult party, donating your vacation home or timeshare, sports or special event tickets. If you would like to contribute to our silent auction, please fill out this form by September 26th.

• Business sponsorships: If you have a business and would like to be a sponsor for the year, please reach out to Seeta Iyyer for the sponsorship package.
