Escrip has proven to be a fantastic fundraiser for our school. It's an easy way you can help earn funds for Almond just by shopping as you normally would! As a supporter of Almond, all you need to do is register any or all of your existing grocery, debit/ATM cards, and credit cards for use in the program and name Almond as a recipient of your contributions. (The Almond School account number for escrip.com is 136951732.)Participating merchants will then make contributions to Almond, based on a percentage of purchases made by you, just by using the cards you have registered. Your purchases are tracked automatically by the program, and you can go online anytime to check your account and see how much money you are earning on your child's behalf! For more information about the Escrip program and a list of participating merchants, click here.
Signing up for the program is FREE, so please sign up now to support Almond today!

Box Tops for Education Fundraiser
Almond School has been participating in a very easy on going fundraiser which brings money to the PTA for our children. All you need to do is locate the little pink coupon on all General Mills products you purchase, clip them out and bring them to the office and place in the Almond mascot "Edward the Eagle". Your children especially love doing this. Coupons can be found on hundreds of items. View the list in its entirety »
The Almond PTA does not endorse, warrant or recommend any of these products. The Almond PTA will receive a small percentage of every sale. The Almond PTA is providing this page as a service to the Almond community.
About Almond PTA Fundraisers
Los Altos schools do not receive sufficient state funds to support all the programs and activities we enjoy and expect throughout the year. In fact, Los Altos schools receive significantly less money per child than neighboring Palo Alto and Menlo Park schools. So it is up to the local PTA to provide the additional funds needed.
The PTA regularly looks at every fundraiser and works hard to make sure that the amount of effort (volunteer hours) and expense is aligned with the planned returns.
The fundraisers/school events we hold fall into three broad categories: Revenue Generators, Community Service and Self Funding.
Revenue Generators
Revenue Generators are programs and events whose primary purpose is to raise monies to be distributed across a variety of programs at Almond School. These events are our most volunteer-intensive, so the PTA constantly examines how to better improve the margin (money raised versus money spent) of each event. Events planned for this year which fall into this category are:
- Hot Lunch
- Auction
- Walkabout
- PTA Membership
- Escrip
Community Service
Community Service programs or events raise funds for Almond school; however, the primary intention of these programs/events is to build pride in our school and our school community. On average each of the event or program accounts for less than 5% of the PTA's planned income. Activities planned for this year which fall into this category are:
- Apparel Sales
- Book Fair
- Gift Wrap
- Engraved Brick
- Halloween Carnival
Self Funding
The third category of programs look like fundraisers, but in fact, are not. These programs are called "Self Funding" because any money collected with the program exactly covers the cost of just that program or event. Programs or events that fall in this category are:
- Bookwave
- California Theatre Center
- Chorus
- Japanese Language
- Library Birthday Book
- Yearbooks
