Green and Keeping Green
- Continued and improved recycling efforts/equipment at Almond
- Recycling Club — New! A children’s lunchtime community service club
- BTS packet on-line with Almond website and Groupery
Asset Responsibility
Focusing on responsibly managing our 2 greatest PTA assets — volunteer time and donated dollars. Efforts include an extensive understanding of PTA budget expenditures and fundraising efforts. Additionally, defining LASD financial needs of PTA, identifying short term and long term expenses.

- Support staff educational needs through scholarships.

- Premier of Project Cornerstone — a student, teacher and parent organization that &lquo;Expects Respect&rquo; with year-long activities promoting self esteem and community leadership.
- Ability Awareness Week — a bi-annual, week-long focus teaching children respect for differences amongst us.
- Family Events — no cost family gatherings to promote community cohesion.
