Thursday Word – December 3, 2009

FROM THE PRINCIPAL – Terri Stromfeld

Tis’ the season for parties and late nights
Hurrying to shop and put up your lights
Waking up late and hurrying to school
But please don’t forget all of our traffic rules!!!

Here are a few reminders:

- Slow Down!  The speed limit is 5 mph in the carpool lanes and parking lot.
- Pull all the way forward as far as you can before dropping off.
- Have the children ready to exit the car (backpacks in hand and good-byes said).
- Make sure that your children exit the car on the curb side.
- Be courteous to other drivers – allow those turning left into the carpool lanes a chance to merge into the curb lane.
- Take a deep breath and relax!  Being late for school or work is not the end of the world, but an accident can be if a child is involved.

Have a wonderful and safe holiday season!

FROM THE STUDENT COUNCIL – Tammy Reilly

Thank you for all your donations towards the water bottle fundraiser last year. The money that we raised along with the student council funds was to go towards the bike cage covers. However, due to various reasons, we were unable to install the bike cage covers. Because of this, we will be purchasing new sports equipment for the students from the money raised from the water bottle fundraiser. Thank you again for all of your contributions!
